Solving the Imaginary problems, and Leaving the Real ones

Around the country in a few paragraphs.

First thing I read today? Luxury Hotels Risk Default.......Loans secured by more than 1,500 hotels with a total outstanding balance of $24.5 billion may be in danger of default.

I guess they haven't been watching the news. The recession has been declared over, so they should stop their whining and pay up.

Pittsburgh is big in the news today. The military is there along with the riot squad. The thing that caught my eye was the use of the sonic cannons. I am not sure if these are the same ones I read about a couple of years ago. But back then the military was running tests on sonic cannons for use in Iraq. However at the time, the higher up in the military decided that they were not humane enough to use on the Iraqi people. It would seem they are just fine to use on the American people.

The principal who's school has suddenly become famous for the Obama Mmm Mmm Mmm video, isn't upset with the teacher who taught the kids the tune. He is mad at the person who videotaped it and released it. So, it is perfectly alright to indoctrinate small children, but it is completely unacceptable to let the parents or the community know about it.

That logic does make sense in these crazy days. Since there are many Progressive Left programs being taught in schools without parental knowledge or consent. To be fair, when a parent finds out and complains, they are told they have no say and no consent is needed.

The world was taken by surprise yesterday when it was discovered that Iran has a secret nuclear facility? The shock!

Our good friend Harry Reid apparently think investigating ACRON is a waste of time. They only receive Millions of tax dollars every year. And even though the House and the Senate voted to defund them, it still has to be signed by the community Organizer in Chief. A little congressional evidence to go with the legislation would go a long way. Especially since Mr O stated Sunday he knows nothing about the situation. Apparently a group fraudulently getting millions of tax dollars isn't worth his time either.

I wonder if it's because the DNC has been using ACORN in their Health Care fight.

And our old friend Barney Frank is at it again. As you may recall ( I know he doesn't) back in 2004 George Bush ordered an audit of Freddie and Fanny, and wanted to tighten the lending rules.

Mr Frank blocked the regulators who were looking at Fanny and Freddie. As you also might recall, they informed Mr Frank that the books of both agencies were being cooked and it was going to become a huge disaster, to which Mr Frank told the regulators that they were the problem, and that there was nothing wrong over at Freddie and Fanny.

Of course when everything collapsed, Mr Frank can only remember George Bush blocking all attempts Mr Frank made to get to the bottom of the crises.

Never mind Mr Frank mandated that 57% of their loans were to low income families. That was then and this is now, and Barney wants a new regulatory organization created, probably with him at the helm.

I do not recall either of you ever coming to me and saying you didn't have strong enough rules - Barney Frank to the FDIC yesterday.
