Wednesday there was a revolt happening in Iran. The protesters were holding signs not written in Farsi, but in English. They begged for the West to not forget about them. They wanted their vote to count. They want out from under their dictator. The want Liberty and Freedom.
For 8 years Presidents Bush refused to negotiate with the Iranian Regime. For 8 years sanctions had been put on the country to try to cripple the economy, and let the people rise up.
Last week the people were were rising up. Our Dear Leader said it was none of his business. Although it turns out he had sent a letter to start negotiations after the election.
The people of Iran wanted the people of the US to put pressure on the Regime. They wanted their signs to be seen by the West. They were risking their lives to get video clips out on Youtube and Twitter.
Thursday Michael Jackson died. And with him, so did all hope for the people of Iran.
4 days of nonstop coverage on every network about the fallen pop idol, nothing on the brutal killings and beatings on the Iranian people. Simply gone from the news, as celebrity pundits offered their guesses on what happened to Michael Jackson.
And the Iranian Regime, and people both noticed. The people have tried to hide, knowing the eyes of the West were no longer on them.
The regime began a brutal crackdown on the protesters, knowing the West was no longer watching them. People are still being murdered and kidnapped by the Regime, as the news in the US focuses on who will get custody of Jackson's children, and if he left a will.
Our Dear Leader did say it was none of our business.
Apparently Honduras is our business. Our Dear Leader is standing alongside Castro and Chavez in crying foul over the ousted President. It matters not that he was ousted by order of their Congress. Nor does it matter he was about to change their Constitution so he could remain President for life, just like his good friend Chavez.
Yes, this is our business. In 6 months the USA has moved from the beacon of freedom in the world, to the backers of Socialist Dictators.
Since the day after Our Dear Leader was inaugurated, there has been a little bill floating around congress that would remove term limits for Presidents. Just quietly hanging around, looking for another bill no one will read to be attached to.
I wonder if this is why Honduras is our business? I wonder if Our Dear Leader is planning to remain president past the two term limits now imposed. I wonder if this is why he is standing in solidarity with other dictatoars who changed their laws to remain in power for life.

LOST ARK III
"It is not going to happen so the world has to live with curiosity,"
Well, that seems to be the final word for now on the fate of the ARK. The statement that is would soon be revealed to the world, is now being called either a mistranslation, or a slip of the tongue. Another mystery that would seem, to remain a mystery.
Well, what fun would life be if all the mysteries were solved? While I did have high hopes the ARK would be revealed, there are plenty of other mysteries out there to ponder.
One only has to look at the out of place artifacts that have been found across the United States over the last 200 years, that do not match what we are told is our official history.
Science and history are curious things. Many times artifacts that do not fit the preconceived notion of history are cast aside, and ignored. Anomalies are presented as hoaxes. Area's are put off limits. Universities do not mention the anomalies to students. And over time they simply vanish into some forgotten drawer.
I firmly believe that between the Vatican and the Smithsonian Museum, there is a lot of history tucked away that contradicts much of what we are taught in school.
I have heard the Smithsonian has a warehouse where these oddities ultimately wind up. I also heard that no one is allowed in, as this warehouse is still insulated with asbestos, making it too dangerous for employees. That is what explains the lack of any catalog of the contents of this one warehouse. Oddly, the asbestos problem does not keep items from being added.
Likewise the Vatican vaults are an enigma. Anything the Church deemed Heretical or contrary to their version of events is tucked away. Along with who knows what else. Since no one is allowed in, it will always remain a mystery.
From Roman coins, Celtic carvings, Viking Rune stones, there seems to have been a lot of folks running around the USA in prehistory. I have read the Chinese had mapped most of North America in the 12th century. I have also read Columbus had a map he used to get here, given to him by his father in-law. I presume it was a copy of an earlier Chinese map.
But, all of that is for another time. The Ethiopians are not going to unveil the ARK of the Covenant to the world. I was really hoping they would.

RADIO TALK TERRORISTS?

The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: "You vote for revenue and your career is over." I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it's about free speech, but it's extremely unfair.
God help you if you don't want your taxes raised. This is truly another example of the arrogance of the elected, who no longer represent the people.
Maybe if they did what they were elected for, they wouldn't have to worry about their careers.

OBAMANIMICS

She is referring to us, the people of these United States. And once again, they not only do not listen to us, but think they know what is best for you and me. And what we think desn't matter one bit. Nor how this will effect everyones budgets, or job, if you still have one, that is.
This "amounts to the largest tax increase in American history under the guise of climate change," declared Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.
At least one honest man.
Obama said the measure would cost the average American about the price of a postage stamp per day.
Yes, and he has been dead wrong on everything he has told us so far. That Stimulus that was so urgent was going to save or create 5 Million jobs. We have lost over 3 million jobs since it was past. and looking to lose another 3 to 4 Million before the year is over.
In California alone, Obama said, 3,000 people will be employed to build a new solar plant that will create 1,000 permanent jobs.
That is nice, since CA lost about 700,000 over the last couple of months. Only 670,000 more green jobs to create, Dear Leader.
"My call to every senator, as well as to every American, is this," he said. "We cannot be afraid of the future. And we must not be prisoners of the past. Don't believe the misinformation out there that suggests there is somehow a contradiction between investing in clean energy and economic growth."
Misinformation? Spain tried it, and that is what his plans are based on. For every green job, 2 jobs were lost. Destroying business and the economy so he can feel good about himself is no way to run what used to be the greatest country on Earth.
Opponents complain about the costs and say some industries will simply move their operations and jobs out of the U.S. to countries that don't control greenhouse-gas emissions.
Yes, and his new corporate tax ideas will seal the deal.

THE LOST ARK II
I have been pointed to Stephen Huller to see what his point of view is on the ARK. And I appreciate the information, as I am a curious fellow. In reading through his web site, I think I would need to buy his book to understand exactly what he is trying to convey.
My Huller has obviously spent a great deal of time studying the subject, and the ancient Bible texts. Whether his take on everything is correct or not, I do not know. Again, I would have to read his book.
Mr Huller does make some interesting points.
I will however point out that Christianity goes back much further than Christ or Moses. Even before Judaism.
The Holy Trinity, the story of Noah, and many other stories from the old Testament can be traced back to Egyptian mythology, and in fact, back to the Sumerian civilization. Several thousand years before the birth of Christ, or the Exodus of Moses. Before Judaism. One could possibly make the argument that Judaism actually morphed from a Sumerian religion. One must remember that Christ was merely the messenger. Messiah means prophet.
Christianity had many different sects up until the Vatican took control. And many testimonies were omitted from the Bible.
One must also keep in mind, the Bible in Greek, simple means the book. The Book was put together by committee. What was included or omitted was voted on by committee. One can only guess what was included supported their point of view, and what was not included opposed it.
All that not withstanding, the ARK is still an enigma. Possibly one who's secrets might still be revealed. There is a good argument to be made that the ARK has resided in Ethiopia for all these centuries. And it will soon be revealed to the world.
Whether this is the ARK from the bible, or merely a well crafted copy, no one knows as of yet. I for one have always wondered. As in most religious relics, there will probably be no scientific study allowed to authenticate or disprove it. It will once again, be a leap of faith.
The Shroud of Turin has been studied for decades. And the jury is still out on it's authenticity.
But a leap of faith is what religion really is in the first place.
Time will tell, and I for one am am patiently waiting. I have no dog in the fight so to speak. But I sure am interested.

PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER 1
We are nearing the final dirge our the late great USA.
Nancy Pelosi will be giving the eulogy.
The House ram roded the ridiculous Cap and Trade Tax through late Friday evening.
House phone banks were down, as was Email, I presume from concerned Americans calling to voice their opposition to this monster of a tax increase. Once again, they didn't listen or care what we the people have to say.
At 3 AM Friday morning, a 300 page amendment was added to the bill. Not that anyone had actually read the 1,200 plus pages, since it was put on the floor only Thursday for a Friday vote.
House Minority Leader John Boehner gets my full respect. He took time to try to read aloud some of the highlights of the bill to the House. That in itself caused a stir, as Democrats wanted a ruling to make sure he could do that. Imagine, actually having a Bill read to all before it is voted on.
Nancy Pelosi owns a major portion of a Greenie company that will make Millions from this Bill. Al Gore is expected to make over 100 Million the first year.
You and I will only feel the down side. Everything from your light bulbs to your house windows will now be mandated by the government.
Taxes on gasoline, natural gas, coal, and anything else that creates energy will skyrocket. Taxes on all business will skyrocket.
Business will go out of business, corporations will move overseas, more American jobs will be lost.
There is in fact absolutely nothing in this bill that does anything for the environment, unless your environment is the owner of one of the companies that has set up shop with the government to profit from this audacious monstrosity.
Next will be Obamacare, which will destroy our Health care system. Any doctor will tell you the way to reduce costs is tort reform. But, Our Dear Leader has stated that will not change. Instead they will destroy the private insurance companies, leaving only the government option. They themselves have stated this is the real plan.
And coming up is the Amnesty Bill. Only this one will allow everyone here illegally to bring in their parents, children, siblings. So for the 30 Million Illegals here already, multiply that by 10.
The United States as we have known it is no more.
CO2 is now illegal. We exhale CO2. It will not be long before we have a breath tax.
Congress does know that plants need CO2 to live? Ah, there I go, tossing out common sense and facts.
We can't ever let facts get in the way of the agenda.
Of course, if you watch the news, the only thing to happen this week was the death of Michael Jackson. Last week no one cared about him. But then last week, Congress wasn't trying to pass a bill that will destroy the country as we know it.

THE ARK REVEALED?
Well, we all know Michael Jackson died. Seems he is suddenly the most loved man in the world. I have nothing against him, I even liked some of his music. But the amount of nonstop media coverage is puzzling. But what else is going on out there?
Iran has been killing it's people by the score, and that has fallen off the face of the news. And I am still wondering where that NK ship with the illegal weapons is at. I also understand that as of the beginning of the week, no one had officially told HI that NK was going to target them. At least not the folks living there. It hasn't been in the papers or the local news. I lived in HI for a few years, and kind of understand. The local news is all sunshine and happiness.
Then there was the Obamacare Infomercial on ABC. It seems it was the lowest rated news show since the invention of ratings. And it was completely one sided, and I think the folks have caught on. I still have hope that most Americans do not want to be a Socialist country. We may not have much choice, but it will be easier to undo if we all decide this is a bad idea.
Today, my good friend Nancy Pelosi is ramming the Cap and Trade vote through the house. This, as I have said before, is nothing more than a tax. In fact it will be the single biggest tax increase in the history of our country. And she is ramming it through, with again no discussion. Between it and Obamacare, it will destroy what is left of small business, and our economy. Yes, climate change is real, it has been changing for millions of years. Funny how it went from Global Warming to Climate Changed, as the true facts have come out to expose that fraud. But, they have come up with a new tax system, and don't want to waist it.
Speaking of Obamacare, did you know that Congress and the Unions are exempt from it? Everyone else will be taxed to support this bad idea, but not the Unions. I think if Congress and the Unions are exempt, then we shouldn't be forced to have it either.
The state of CA Legislature, which missed the deadline for it's budget and cuts, is now issuing IOU's, and now is proposing another 40 Billion in additional spending, and taxes. Just last month additional taxes were resoundingly voted down by the people. It matters not to the Democrats in charge of the State. This is the future of the Country.
Then there is the Governor scandal. My question is who sent the newspaper his private Emails from his personal computer months ago. Why did the newspaper then sit on them, and then who tipped them off that he would be on that plane coming back from Argentina? This is the second Republican in two weeks to get caught up in a scandal. Both of them were thought to be contenders in the 2012 Presidential race. Both scandals have come to light under very strange circumstances. Almost like they have been set up. I wonder if the DNC is getting rid of the opposition early.
All of this is important, and none of it is getting any news coverage. But what I find the most interesting today is the ARK of the Covenant. It has long been believed, if it still exists, that it has been tucked away in a small temple in Ethiopia for the last 2,000 years. Attended to by one chosen priest, who has the job for life. Guarded by armed military, with no one allowed entry.
Today, they are announcing they will unveil the ARK to the world.

This fascinates me. At the same time I wonder if this just might be the precursor to the building of the Third Temple. And if in fact it is, is this the beginning of the end time prophecy. I am not a particularly religious person, but I am a curious one. And I have seen too many things to think we know everything.
I for one, am very curious to see how this turns out. There is a group who is prepared to start construction on the Third Temple. And in fact, recent archeology has found the original temple was not where the Dome of the Rock sits now, but in fact next to it. And it also seems that most of the Arab world really has no problem with it being rebuilt. Only the conflict in the area seems to be keeping it from happening right now.

Some workers have labored there for two decades or longer, including one who's been there for 50 years, said Richard McKenzie, a senior vice president of human resources for Altadis USA, which owns Hav-A-Tampa.
Altadis tried to keep the plant open by closing it for a week or two at a time and furloughing workers. Eventually, though, the company couldn't cope with a steep drop in consumer demand, brought on by the recession and a large new tax on tobacco products, McKenzie said.

THE REAL CONSPIRACY
I do love a good conspiracy. And I believe there is something to the whole New World Order. But I have come to believe that Alex Jones and David Icke, and those along those lines, have completely missed what is really going on.
Sure, the Builderburg's are probably up to no good. But they are by and large all Capitalists. And by all accounts, the original SPP agreement, and the formation of a North American Union, are socialist entities. I can't see a group of capitalists working for a goal that would cause them to lose both money and control. I can see how some parts of the free trade agreements would work in their favor, but not if the government owns their companies.
The best conspiracy is the one right in front of you, hidden in plain sight, that no one sees until it's too late to stop. At least completely. And that my friends, is where we find ourselves today. It might even be true that Mr Jones and Mr Icke have been the main voices for the spreading of disinformation about what has truly been going on.
Yes, this plan to take over America has been in the works since at least the last 1950's. But the real culprits are the Progressives, the Communists, and the Socialists.
If you have read up on the Progressives, you will find that many of their goals work in conjunction with both Communist and Socialist goals. The Communists formed the ACLU under the guise of fighting for civil liberties, but in reality set out to change the country from within. Using lawsuits and getting like minded members placed in government and judicial positions. Their reach now includes the Supreme Court.
The Socialists formed groups like ACORN (which changed their name yesterday). Their goal was also social engineering, but from a grass roots level, and a public protest strategy. They were the main force behind the protest's of the 1960's. They also worked to place like minded people in government. And in fact, Our Dear Leader comes from this organization. One of the key elements of the plan was to integrate the school system, which has been done.
The result is several generations of young folks who think that the socialist way is the most fair. They have been indoctrinated into this right under our noses. Anyone who tried to step up and stop this was sued by the ACLU. The push the last decade to keep boys drugged out on Ritalin can also be traced back to this.
The leaders of the Teachers Union, the UAW, the Service Union all are members of the Progressive Movement. As proof, one needs only to look at how the UAW and the government now own General Motors.
The people like Jeremiah Wright, and Bill Ayers also come from this group, although during the campaign, it was off limits to even ask about Our Dear Leaders connections to these radicals or to ACORN.
The one constant through all these groups is the objective. And if you were to read their end goals, everything that Our Dear Leader is doing would make complete sense. The goal is to destroy the American economy and way of life. Destroy the Middle Class. Destroy the financial and business sectors. In their place, a larger government that co-runs companies with the Unions.
The Media is also behind this plan, for whatever reason. ABC will have a Health Care Infomercial broadcast from the White House. No opposing views are being allowed, nor any paid commercial that opposes the plan. It all sounds very much like the old Soviet Union.
If his plans do not get stopped, we will see a push to have every job Unionized.
The corner stone of all these plans, is Nationalized Health Care. As I said before, Harry Reid has stated that they will push this through no matter what, due to an obscure Senate rule. So I'm sure what debate we are seeing now is more for show then reality.
A lot of economists see the collapse of the dollar happening before the years end. I would think probably around August. The non stop printing of money can not last without dire consequence. We have jumped Trillions of dollars in debt in the last 5 months. And Trillions more in spending is on the agenda.
China is selling our T-bonds to the IMF, and buying hard assets. They have quietly said they are putting limits on future debt purchases.
Unemployment is still rising unchecked, the numbers on welfare are the highest ever is history. This is no accident. It is all part of the plan to dismantle the American way of life.
The promises of tax cuts is about to be a distant memory. The new Cap and Trade will be passed by next week. The VAT tax is quietly being worked on in congress. Every state is being forced to raise taxes to offset revenue losses, which only feeds the spiral downwards.
On the larger scale, as we go down, so do the European countries, as we are all tied together economically. This is also part of the greater plan. We will have a class system again. Something our Founding Fathers fought to eliminate. There will be the ruling class, and the rest of us. And the rest of us will be dependent on the government for our survival.
These people believe they know how to run a failed Socialist system. Ted Kennedy said himself that it would work with him in charge of it. This is the most dangerous time our country has faced. Only it is our own government that is to be feared.

PRESIDENT PANTYWAIST
Well, I see now why the British call Our Dear Leader President Pantywaist.
The two American girls sitting in North Korean custody are still there. I am not sure if we haven't gotten the terse note written yet, or if Al Gore refuses to give away 1,000 copies of his move in trade for them.
It seems now they were in China doing a documentary on human trafficking into NK, and it's very likely they were sold to NK by their guide.
Then there is that NK ship cruising around.. Seems we are pretty sure it has illegal weapons on it, and it is heading most likely for the country formally known as Burma. I guess we will follow it there, since Our Dear Leader won't have it boarded and searched.
Seems in the last 5 months, NK has poked its finger in Our Dear Leaders eye more than it did in 8 years under Bush.
Then there is Iran. When the signs the people are holding up are written in English, I think they are asking us for a little help. President Pantywaist called it a robust debate. Maybe in ACORN circles and in Chicago people get beaten and shot while in a robust debate. Not taking a stand, as the leader of the free world, is more than sadening.
Our Dear Leader is proving over and over that he will kowtow to every tyrant on the planet. I guess that would have mattered last year, when we were still a free Republic. But now that we are a Maxist socialist country in the making, it stands to reason that we no longer care about others trying to gain their freedom.
I would hold up a bit of hope that congress has come to it's senses and won't pass the Nationalization of our health care plan. But Harry Reid said months ago – they have a special rule they will use to force it through with or without the rest of congress.
The bulldozing of what were once great cities, brings a sadness hard to express.
The dismantlement of our country is happening at a speed I for one never thought possible.
By the end of this year, we will no longer recognize this as our country.
On the up side, as I drove down the street today, everyone under 25 was busy texting away some very important information I am sure.
I just wish they would look up when they are crossing the streets.

VAT - VALUE ADDED TAX
You know the world has gone crazy when Cheerios ia considered a drug by the FDA.
But that is not today's point of contention.
House Democrats have lots of potential targets for higher taxes as they aim to expand health care coverage to reach the roughly 50 million that experts say are uninsured.
Also under consideration are higher alcohol taxes, increases to the Medicare payroll tax and a value-added tax, a sort of national sales tax, of up to 25% percent or more.
Yes, anyone who believed Our Dear Leader was going to not raise taxes on the regular folks, was probably smoking some weed and sipping the Kool Aid..
So lets talk about the VAT for a minute.
Value Added Tax. They are still playing with the idea, but it will probably be about a 25% tax. On everything.
Anything you buy, any service you receive, your golf game, your massage, your car wash.
Everything.
Your gas, your cable, your phone bill, your electric bill, I mean EVERYTHING!
And that is not counting all the other taxes they are thinking of, but in addition to them.
So, say your coke is $1. They are talking about a 10 cent tax, plus the VAT, brings your coke to $1.35
Plus the tax on your private health insurance, if you still have a job. Of course, their plan of Universal Insurance is designed to destroy your private insurance plan. Everyone will be on the government plan in 10 years.
They are looking into raising taxes on everything. And also adding the VAT. Can't forget, the Cap and Trade tax coming at us either.
Write your folks in congress. Tell them you do not want a Value Added Tax. Tell them you don't want any tax increases. With the economy in the toilet, and unemployment rising at record rates, seems like a very bad time to go tax crazy on us.

So I am watching the news tonight, and I hear the lobbyist's are going full bore. They want in on the new Government Health Care plan, and the money is flowing.
Nancy Pelosi says the CBO ( the congressional bean counters) always come up with the worst case scenario on how much things will cost. They say this plan will be upwards of 1.7 Trillion dollars.
If you go back in time, and look at the CBO projections for congressional programs, I think you would find their estimates are pretty low. Buy the time stuff passes, and they add in Billions of earmarks on top of the plans, stuff costs more than we bargained for.
Is Nancy Pelosi lying again? She can't say a sentence without checking her words. So I would say , yes.
They haven't even finished writing this monster, and the CBO puts is well over Congressional estimates that they want us to hear.
It will cost more.
I'm sorry if Nancy Pelosi and I disagree. But congress has not done anything that worked as they said it would, and come in at the cost they said it would. Prove me wrong.
And this is purely editorial, they lie for a living. To keep their power in DC.
It is all about power, and their vision of what the USA should be.

BILL OF RIGHTS - A SHORT HISTORY
I have been told my entire life that the separation of Church and State is written onto the Constitution. Same folks that argue this point, like to ignore the other amendments. So I thought I would have a look at The Bills of Rights, while we still sort of have them.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances
You know, it sure looks like they were saying, no state religion, like they had left behind in England. The whole idea people toss around now, comes from some letters Jefferson wrote in 1802. He wrote about a Wall of separation between the church and state. Which again, means no State religion.
However, that doesn't suit every one's agenda, And the lawsuits started flying. Using the slightly modified Separation of church and state from Jefferson's letter, has become the battle cry of the ACLU, and other groups who wish to impose their vision of the world upon us all.
They have used this to stop Christmas at schools, prayer in schools (unless you are Muslim), and countless other Christian related activities and displays. Even to the point of suing to have crosses removed from memorials.
The folks that try to misconstrue that Amendment, are the first to sight others, like this one. This is Article 1 of the 14th Amendment.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
This was enacted after the Civil War, during the Reconstruction period. Its purpose was to grant former slaves, and their as yet unborn children citizenship in the United States.
However, the ACLU, La Raza, and others now use this antiquated Amendment for their illegal Immigration platform. This is the heart of the anchor baby argument. And they clearly know what the original intent was.
The same as they clearly know what the original intent was with the first Amendment. And I'd bet if you ask everyone in the country, 85% of the folks would say the separation of church and state is written in the Constitution somewhere. If you say something often enough, everyone believes you.
Now, the same folks who reword the 1st Amendment, site the 14th amendment, are also the same folks who want to get rid of the 2ed Amendment.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

As far as the 14th Amendment goes, we went to war with Mexico. in 1846. I really doubt citizenship for illegal immigrants was the intent at it's writing. It's intent was for former slaves and their children to become US citizens, and nothing more.
But, never let the facts get in the way of your agenda. All of these amendments have one group behind them changing their meanings to suit them and their needs. The ALCU. Same group formed by two Communist's with an agenda to transform our country from the inside out.

You know, it sure looks like they were saying, no state religion, like they had left behind in England. The whole idea people toss around now, comes from some letters Jefferson wrote in 1802. He wrote about a Wall of separation between the church and state. Which again, means no State religion.
However, that doesn't suit every one's agenda, And the lawsuits started flying. Using the slightly modified Separation of church and state from Jefferson's letter, has become the battle cry of the ACLU, and other groups who wish to impose their vision of the world upon us all.
They have used this to stop Christmas at schools, prayer in schools (unless you are Muslim), and countless other Christian related activities and displays. Even to the point of suing to have crosses removed from memorials.
The folks that try to misconstrue that Amendment, are the first to sight others, like this one. This is Article 1 of the 14th Amendment.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
This was enacted after the Civil War, during the Reconstruction period. Its purpose was to grant former slaves, and their as yet unborn children citizenship in the United States.
However, the ACLU, La Raza, and others now use this antiquated Amendment for their illegal Immigration platform. This is the heart of the anchor baby argument. And they clearly know what the original intent was.
The same as they clearly know what the original intent was with the first Amendment. And I'd bet if you ask everyone in the country, 85% of the folks would say the separation of church and state is written in the Constitution somewhere. If you say something often enough, everyone believes you.
Now, the same folks who reword the 1st Amendment, site the 14th amendment, are also the same folks who want to get rid of the 2ed Amendment.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

COLATERIAL LOSSES
I have previously put up 2 news articles from a little town tn TN where the GM plant looks sure to close now. TN can't afford the hundreds of of Millions of dollars that GM is demanding up front to keep the plant open.
While the government run GM demanding money to keep doing business is horrible enough, and the loss of thousands of jobs is equally as horrible, there will be other losses.
Because of the GM plant, the town had to build a few new schools to accommodate the workers children. I'm willing to bet GM promised to continue operating their plant, when the town contemplated building the new schools.
Now that GM is pulling out, the new schools now need to be downsized.

More than a third of Maury County Public Schools’ teaching assistants received word this month they were being terminated.
Director of Schools Eddie Hickman said the layoffs were needed to balance next fiscal year’s budget. Twenty-three educational assistants and a dozen teachers are being let go.
Hickman said school officials looked at a variety of cuts, including suspending transportation and consolidating schools, but they determined the layoffs were the best option.
“The bottom line is that anything you cut after status quo hurts kids,” he said.
The Maury County Commission’s Budget Committee appropriated $75.2 million for the district’s operating budget, the same amount of funding as this past fiscal year. The school board has approved a spending plan that is about $600,000 higher. Both bodies must agree for the budget to take effect.
School officials say they need more money because of initial start-up costs for opening a new middle school in Spring Hill, higher insurance premiums and a reduction in funding from the state for technology.
Well, I am glad the government is looking out for the people. And I am sure this story is happening everywhere they are closing up shop.
It would appear that kowtowing to the UAW is more important then every other interest. But I guess the big picture of what is happening to Americans isn't too important.

Democratic leaders have committed to enacting by the end of the year the biggest regulatory revision to the U.S. financial system since the 1930s—an undertaking so ambitious it has some lawmakers worried about missteps
Obama wants to empower the Federal Reserve to oversee the largest and most influential financial firms. He also wants to create a council of federal regulators, chaired by the treasury secretary, to monitor risk across the broader market.
The proposal was well-received among Democrats on Capitol Hill, who said it would prevent another round of bank bailouts and protect consumers from predatory lending practices.
Here we go, Tim Geithner and the Federal Reserve in charge of everything business.
And congress can't wait to pass this monster of over reaching legislation. Still, it doesn't seem to bother any of them that we already have regulators for this. But it does consolidate power more to the government, and the FED, which is not part of the government.
And you have all the same folks writing this, that steered the course of the country into the financial meltdown.
According to the Progressive way of looking at things, more government is good. Government should control business, and the workers should share in it's running. Well, that is how GM is set up.
I know, you say that sounds like a Communist / Socialist kind of thing. And Our Dear Leader keeps saying he is not one of those. Yet here we are, on the brink of government run everything.
Yet all I saw on the news was Our Dear Leader swatting a fly. I'm not too impressed, I have swatted hundreds of flies in my life. But if Our Dear Leader swats one, it is National news.
I'm sure a systemic risk argument will be made for the Oil Companies. And the private Insurance companies. And anything else they decide to control.
I know, you heard some banks were paying back the TARP money. See, Our Dear Leader doesn't want to control everything, it was all done to save the economy.
What they are not saying on TV is the government is retaining common stock in these companies. Which gives them voting rights on the boards. What, they didn't mention that on MSBN?
Yes, it would seem the big deal being made about the banks repaying TARP money is all Public Relations for our benefit. While the government keeps control.
Always have to see what the right hand is doing, since the left hand seems to be the one that makes TV appearances.
And, we are watching the Progressive play book unfolding in front of us. Consider that Chriss Dodd is working on this legislation. He helped cause the entire collapse. So naturally he will fix it/

JIMMY CARTER - ROADMAP TO DISASTER
The visit has not led to a significant change. Hamas finds the conditions unacceptable, he said. Recognizing Israel is completely unacceptable.
For some reason Jimmy Carter just can't go away. This week he told the world that Hamas should be taken off the International Terror watch list. I know, your saying to yourself, all they do is plant roadside bombs, shoot off rockets, and send suicide bombers into Israel whenever they get the chance.
Why have them on a terrorist list? Heck, they were even nice enough to disarm 2 roadside bombs before Carter's motorcade would have hit them. Aren't they sweet?
My personal opinion, Jimmy Carter is directly responsible for the mess in Iran. His world view and policies when he was President caused the Islamic Revolution, and led to millions of people being repressed and murdered. Of course, Mr Carter sees himself as the world peace negotiator. His negotiating abilities are what turned Iran into a dictatorship. And maybe hes doesn't know, but Hamas answers to Iran.
The people think this is a historic visit, Youssef told The Associated Press on Wednesday, describing Carter as somebody very knowledgeable about the conflict and very sincere in the way he understands the conflict.
Youssef said the other two international conditions _ renouncing violence and accepting past agreements between Israel and the Palestinians _ are irrelevant
See, here is the underlying problem. The Palestinian Authority says renouncing violence and accepting previously agreed peace Policies are irrelevant. They also refuse to let Israel live in peace, or acknowledge their right to exist.
Sounds like they are ready to negotiate, doesn't it.
He antagonized many Israelis with his 2007 book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," in which he argued that Israel must choose between ceding the West Bank to the Palestinians or maintaining a system of ethnic inequality similar to that of the apartheid regime in South Africa. Most Israelis strongly reject the comparison.
Accepting peace means apartheid. Now there is a new way to spin things.
Bill Clinton got the Israelis to concede all to all the terms the PLO had put to them for peace. When it came to signing the agreement, Yaser Arafat refused. He said there would never be peace, and he wanted all the Israelis dead.
It doesn't look like they have changed their mind, and at some point it would be nice if our government realized it.
Until then, Jimmy Carter should stay on his peanut ranch, and build his habitat for humanity houses. In the Middle East, he continues to be played like a pawn.

MORE NONE SENSE IN DC
Well, I just don't know anymore.
Games in Congress as usual I guess. Last night after everyone went home, Pelosi called everyone back for a special midnight vote to pass the funding for the troops. And 500 Billion down, and up to 108 Billion for the IMF (International Money Fund).
Wasn't it just last week Our Dear Leader said we were broke? Wasn't it this week he said they would enforce the Pay as you Go rule? Where the heck is all this money for the world coming from>
Not to mention the sneaky late night vote. That is how we get stuck with all kinds of bad things.
Then there is the illegal firing of the Inspector General, still not getting much attention.
But what really has me sticking pencils in my eye today is the new Regulatory inventions, that gives the Fed unbridled power over any and all business. Our Dear Leader once again blamed everyone for the current disaster. Everyone except, the government, which mandated all the policies that created the mess.
Once again, never let the facts get in the way of your agenda.
Besides, I am under the impression that there already are Regulatory agencies in place, doing the same thing this new agency will be doing.
I guess maybe if the congress would keep it's nose out of things, they might be able to do their jobs. And just maybe all this mess wouldn't have happened.
Or, I suspect the new agency counts as some of the 5 million new or saved jobs from the stimulus.

FDA - SMOKING BANS - HITLER
So now that the FDA has complete authority over the entire tobacco, cigarette, cigar and pipe industry, I thought we might take a look at the evolution of smoking bans.
Here is the US, over the last decade, the Progressive Left has been pushing restrictions on smoking, and smoking bans, across the country. Nearly every state now has bans on smoking in public. Some states have even pushed the bans as far as your own apartment, or car.
But do you know who came up with the whole ban on smoking that we are following?
That is right, that good Progressive Democrat, Adolph Hitler.
It was all part of his campaign to seize complete control over the citizens of Germany.
Here, we started off banning smoking in restaurants, public buildings, schools, act.
The Nazis banned smoking in government offices, civic transport, university campuses, rest homes, post offices, many restaurants and bars, hospital grounds and workplaces
NYC I believe tried to ban smoking in your car, and smoking in a car with children is banned in some states.
The Nazi's proposed a ban on smoking in private vehicles.
I wonder if there are any other similarities?
The Nazi Reich Health Office warned that smoking caused impotence and produced posters depicting smoking as a dirty habit of Jews, Gypsies, blacks, intellectuals and Indians.
Nazi lobbyists lectured terrified children in schools on the horrors of racial impurity as a result of smoking.
The term "passive smoking" (Passivrauchen) was coined by the Nazi Anti-Tobacco League. Its author, Fritz Lickint, offered no supporting evidence to claim that smokers poisoned everyone around them, while also stating that drinking coffee caused cancer.
Brother national socialist, do you know that our Führer is against smoking and think that every German is responsible to the whole people for all his deeds and emissions, and does not have the right to damage his body with drugs?" stated one magazine.
Now that the FDA has control, they are banning most advertising and sponsorships from the tobacco industry.
The Nazis banned tobacco advertising and financed huge public relations campaigns to propagandize people into giving up smoking.
Our government is taxing the hell out of smokers, all in the name of the children. You want to help the children, don't you?
Hitler attempted to price out smoking for Germans, levying huge taxes on cigarettes.
You see, this is not a new idea, or a new tactic.
I have heard about how much smokers cost the health care system, and we need to save that system for the children. What, you don't like the children?
I have also read that the tax revenue collected from tobacco products is over 6 to 1 against costs. That means, for every $6 the government pulls in from tobacco tax revenue, they spend $1 for actual Health related costs.
There should be enough excess money just from smokers to run the whole Health Care system. The problem is, Congress diverts that revenue into all their other earmarks and silly money spending plans.
Hitler picked tobacco to clamp down on, because he thought they could sell it to the masses, and it opened the door for him to clamp down on everything else. It was a long term plan. And it worked.
The Progressives in our government are following his plan, nearly to the letter.
One should be very afraid.

On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!
Highlights on the agenda:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special -- 'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected.
The entire idea of the free press, was to be the government watchdog. Keep an eye on them and tell we the people when they are doing things we should know about.
Since Our Dear Leader started his campaign, he was obviously the media's darling. And it has become O TV for the most part, of non stop propaganda.
But this just goes beyond anything acceptable. It started when the White House started handing out its own news release packages, complete with authorized film.
But this is turning into a state run media.
I would like to think everyone would boycott ABC, and send them an Email telling them we don't want a government TV channel.

The bill, S. 1023 (link to bill), has been introduced by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D), who represents tourist magnet Las Vegas and other Nevada communities that depend on revenues from travelers. The bill would create a nonprofit corporation to promote U.S. travel, targeted to people in foreign countries who are thinking of visiting here. It would authorize $10 million in initial federal funding and would match travel industry contributions of up to $100 million annually by imposing a $10 fee on every foreign traveler to the U.S.
Remember, Mr Reid got that high speed light rail system from LA to Vegas put into the Stimulus Bill. I don't kow how much Stimulus was pointed at this project, but Mr Ried did earmark 45 Million the year before to get it going.
I should also mention that a Private company was already starting a similer project along the same route. So, some one is wasting their money.

I know, it feels like we have been in the economic tank forever. And on the evening news and MSNBC it is all happiness and green shoots sprouting in every parking lot.

We are not sure if we even have any gold reserves anymore. The FED controls them, and they won't open the books. But I have read in numerous places the numbers do not add up. Most people think the FED has sold if not all, at least most of the US gold reserves.
What does all this mean? It means Europe is hunkering in for another crash, which means we should be as well. Instead of spending Trillions more.
We need to sell 150 Billion in T Bonds right now every month, just to cover the interest on the deficit we already have incurred. The countries that normally buy these, have already put limits on how much they will buy going into next year. And they will not buy enough to cover our current interest payments. Let alone new spending.
The price of Gold and Oil are things to watch. as their value goes up, our dollar goes down. That is the general rule. Might explain the jump in gas prices. Gold has been doing some strange things, and a lot of folks think the price is artificially being held down.
Which means the FED will be putting the printers into overdrive. Cranking out Billions in new dollars. That in turn will devalue the dollars we have even more. That will lead to inflation of the likes we have never seen. A $20 loaf of bread will not be out of the question.
Unemployment has already surpassed what the “experts” said it would be had we not had the Stimulus package. These are the same “experts” that are talking about the green shoots, and things are turning around.
Most independent stock market people, will tell you the FED and the Treasury are manipulating the markets to make it “Look” like we are in recovery.
The government does now at least acknowledge that unemployment is going to go higher. People are losing their houses in greater numbers, but they are hiding them on the books. They want to paint a smiley face on things.
As unemployment goes higher, state and federal tax revenues decrease. Yet they are spending more, knowing that there will be less revenues in the future. Does that make sense to anyone?

The USA has a mature regulatory environment governed by its Securities and Exchange Commission. These regulations mean that we are not licensed to manage portfolios for US clients.
Important change in policy regarding clients who are resident, domiciled or linked to the United States by property or asset holdings". They were told the bank had "no choice" but to "cease acting as your investment manager
Unfortunately we cannot offer an equivalent service from within Lloyds Banking Group." Clients have been advised to transfer their assets
Lloyds Banking Group is ditching American customers based in Britain pending a crackdown on international tax evasion planned by President Barack Obama
Until the new rules are properly explained, we don't know how expensive they will be to implement. But it's clear that Lloyds believes that any extra cost to the system will be too much when it comes to the mass affluent
So there you are, this is the beginning.
Our Dear Leader has a plan to close the international tax loophole (any law they don't like, is a loophole now). And this is the beginning of the coming economic catastrophe.
The new law hasn't been passed yet, but the overseas banks are starting to dump American business accounts, and personal accounts. The overseas banks would rather lose the money then pay whatever penalties the Administration might come up with in the future. Especially since the Administration seems to like to back date their laws now, when going after money (remember AIG).
This is the same tax law that major Corporations are already saying will force them to move their operations completely overseas. Microsoft said it would be one of the first to move, taking over 30,000 jobs with them.
On paper, I'm sure it looks like they will increase revenues. In reality it will only cause them to drastically decrease. Cause and effect, a pretty simple rule.
Our IRS already has a war going on with the Swiss banks. We want them to open their books up so that we can look for hidden revenue from US citizens. I don't think that is going well.
I can only imagine how much it will cost for new overseas government apparatus to track down violating US citizens and rouge Corporations. I heard a number of 800 new IRS agents just for this operation.
I do know it will cost a lot of good will from our allies. And it will cost a lot of Americans their jobs, when their company relocates to India to avoid the new tax code.
It will create more IRS agents though. Isn't that nice.

The other side of Health Care for America's pragmatic approach is its commitment to build on the success and potential of Medicare, America's most popular and familiar health program.
Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, there will be no tort reform, no cap on malpractice lawsuits. We are going to all get Medicare.
I have been reading up a little, from the statements of the advisers to this new government Health Care Plan.
They say it isn't Nationalization, yet. But it will be. Once they undercut the prices of the private insurance companies, everyone will fall onto the government roll.
And that, my friends, is the plan. And they themselves say, they are doing it like this on purpose, so we won't realize we are actually getting Nationalized Health Care.
Google up the advisers on this, and just see how giddy they are that they are getting this past us, sold as an alternative to Private Insurance.
If it costs your employer $500 to supply your insurance, but he can pay $200 and have you fall off to the government plan, what do you think will happen?
Exactly. First all the small business will do this, then the larger companies. Finally the Corporations.
Next on the list is Big Pharma.
I do like how everything they don't like, they call BIG.
Big oil is sure to be on the hit list soon.
They got the BIG 3, the BIG Bankers, the BIG Financiers.

This is a list, published in 1958, of the communist goals for the United States. I thought we might have a look and see how close they have come to achieving this laundry list of proposals. 3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
These first 3 are pretty much the Obama foreign policy.
4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
This started with NAFTA
6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
We have been doing this since at least Carter.
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
This happened in 1971 under Nixon.
9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
Seems to still be in tact,.
10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, we have been working for this. Not a bad thing now, back then it had ulterior motives.
11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
Well, here is an ongoing concept. The UN is getting more and more control over us all the time.
12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
Diversity, diversity, diversity.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
Seems to have happened, Protecting the Constitution no longer seems to be taken seriously.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
I have no idea about this one.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. 16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
This has obviously happened. The Progressive movement is running both parties, and the courts now make law in their decisions.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
This happened by the 1970's. Now revised history, diversity, social morality, fairness have replaced actual studies.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
Read a college paper lately?
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
That explains the 1960's
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
Just turn on the TV or read the paper. All Obamafest, all the time.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.
This explains Rap music.
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
Might explain the modern art that I don't understand.
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
This is happening everywhere everyday.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
This is happening everyday.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."
This is taught as Diversity in the school system, and legislated on the state and federal level
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
Happening all around us.
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
Well, that happened a while ago, didn't it.
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
This is what is going on now. The whole living Constitution idea.
30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."
That is the Lefty point of view.
31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
While the Russian history thing has't happened, they have revised our history to suit social liberal views, and diversity.
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
Here is our government again.
33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
It is hard to distinguish between the communist party, the Progressive Movement, and our current political leadership.
34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
This was abolished in 1975.
35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
This failed, so there is one so far.
36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
The Union leadership belong to the Progressive Movement. The government is taking over big business.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
There is a host of agencies that can now either arrest you, or have you arrested.
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
I'd say they scored a win here too.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
This is happening big time. Taking away parental rights, and giving them to the state. Hillery Clinton is a big supporter of this.
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
Same as whet I just said, plus they are now making it illegal to home school your children. Can't be properly brainwashed if you are not in a government school.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.
Go to any rally the Lefties disapprove of. They attack, throw things, and try to interupt opposing views.
43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
Not sure about this one.
44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

I am not advocating a single payer system, Barak Obama, today in front of the AMA.
Well, which is it? The single payer system is complete Nationalization of the Health Care system. And that is what he was touting on the campaign trail.
But now, in from of the AMA, he shies away from that, because that is not popular with the AMA.
Single Payer plan is the system they have in England and Canada. He said toady that it works pretty well in other countries. I guess it works pretty well, if you don't live in those countries.
The Canadian and British people hate the system. The government regulates who gets what care. You can die waiting for a necessary operation. You can die because the government does not think it is cost effective to treat you.
Here is where everything seems to get murky. Our Dear Leaders plan for the Government Health Insurance Company, to cover the millions who don't currently have a plan. It sounds a lot like the single pay system.
And it will undercut the current Insurance Companies. The government can set whatever price it wants for policies, because it is funded by the tax payer. I see this as the beginning of a plan to instill the single payer plan, and Nationalized Health Care.
Once the Private Insurance Companies start to go under, because they won't be able to compete, the government will swallow them up, and turn them into single payer plan companies.
The man is smart, and he has a vision, and he knows how to achieve it. He says his plan is not Nationalized Health Care, but it will be. First he has to get rid of the Private Insurance Companies, and this is the first step.

The crux of this giant new plan is something they call white paper.
This will remake the powers of the Federal Reserve, and they will now oversee the biggest financial players, and give the government the power to unwind and break up systemically important companies.
What does that really mean? It means that the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department will now decide if you need to be taken over as a company, Will not matter if you think you should be taken over. Doesn't even matter if your company is in trouble.
This is the government rewriting the law, so they can take over any company they want. Which would seem to be something they like to do.
Considerations of stability, safety and systemic risk have to loom larger in the planning, thinking, and strategizing of every financial institution going forward than they have in the past, White House National Economic Council Director Lawrence Summers said in a speech on Friday.
I think that means, if we think you are too big, we are taking you over. Systemic risk, that is a fairly new term they came up, means we think we should take over your business.
Seems like a hard sell, since Congress is now floating around a Bill to audit the Federal Reserve. But, never underestimate the strong arm tactic's of this Administration. And the lobbying that the Federal Reserve is now doing in Congress to kill that Bill.
They do not want anyone looking into their books.
So here we go, lets give the Federal Reserve, which I remind you, is not a government agency, complete control over our business sector.

This will take Congress completely out of the loop. Not that I think they do a wonderful job, but at least they sometimes slow things down a bit, by bringing things into the public arena.

First, he told therm to take back the Statue of Churchill that was given as an official state present. It had been sitting in the Oval Office when he took over. He could have moved it to some other room, but he decided to send it back. Which was a direct insult.
Then there was the present scandal. As customary, the President and the British Prime Minster exchange meaningful gifts when they first meet. PM Brown bought some very nice and priceless gifts for Our Dear Leader.
Our Dear Leader sent someone down to the White House gift shop and got PM Brown a bunch of DVD's, Unfortunately, these prized and valued gifts do not work on the European DVD players.
Then there was that whole Queen thing, where they broke all protocol, and got all touchie with Her Majesty. And for her official gift, gave her an I-POD filled with glorious speeches that Our Dear Leader had made over the course of the campaign.
The British government, for the first time in 200 years, has officially complained that they can not get anyone in our State Department to talk to them . I am sure some one is there. Maybe they just hide under the desk when the British call.
There have been other snubs and diplomatic blunders, enough for a full term, let alone 6 months.
Which brings us to the GITMO detainees. Bermuda is still part of the Greater British Realm. And logic would dictate that in order to pawn off some bad guys there, you would have to talk to the British Government.
Unless you are the Benevolent President of the World.

A recap of events this past week
One lone old white kook shoots a security guard in DC, two days of non stop coverage on TV. One Black Muslin convert jihadist kills an American soldier on American soil, 5 minutes on TV.
Lone white guy must have Domestic Terror connections, because according to DHS, there is no more Muslim terror groups, only white supremacy groups to worry about. And their profile covers well over half of Americans as possible Domestic Terrorists.
Then you have the White House putting pressure on the bankruptcy courts, to push though the Chrysler and GM cases. Where they rewrote the law and shafted the shareholders. The bankruptcy judge sent it to Ruth B. Ginsburg on the Supreme Court, because it looked too funny for them. She promptly pushed it through. Now the Government and the UAW own the car companies.
Government still owns the banks, insurance companies, mortgage companies, Financial companies,and are getting ready to set the pay scale for not only them, but every company that is publicly traded, whether they got any Government money or not.
Government just handed over BIG Tobacco to the FDA, where their only restriction is an all out ban is not allowed.
Big Banks, Big Tobacco, only Big Oil left to socialize.
GM is now demanding hundreds of million of dollars from Tennessee, if they want to keep their plant that is already there open to build the new little Pelosimobiles.
That is a busy week, what have I forgotten?
Oh yeah, the government took about 1,500 dealerships away from people who owned them, and gave them to other folks.
Unemployment is rising, so are foreclosures.
Gas is back up to $3 a gallon for regular, and rising.
California government is about to go underwater.
North Korea is threatening war.
We are paying big bucks for countries to take the GITMO folks, and some will be coming here as well.
Universal (Nationalized) Health care numbers are coming out, and it will cost more than China will loan us.
China, Russia, and Brazil are dumping their dollar assets for other currency's, do they know something we aren't being told?
I'm sure there is more, but there has been so much I just can't take it all in.
But, it is all sunshine and lollipops on the news every night.
