Just what the heck is it? I've heard the term. People say Obama's policies aren't Marxist or Socialist, they are Progressive. So what the heck is it?
Since the late 1800's, there really has been a third political party. They have just hidden themselves inside the Democratic and Republican Party. And over the last 100 years, they have changed the face of our nation to suit their goals. Meet the Progressives.
Our Dear Leader is a Progressive, so are his goofy friends that no one is allowed to talk about. And it would seem, so are most of the Democrats in Congress right now. Hillery Clinton said she was a Progressive. So just what the heck is this Progressive Movement?
Oddly enough, it seems to have started with the Republican Party, in Wisconsin, after the Civil war. The original concept seems harmless enough, honest government, who doesn't want that? And they wanted moderate economic reforms that would expand democracy and improve public morality.
Improve public morality? What?
They brought us the FDA, the Federal Income Tax, Prohibition (there is that morality thing), and the right for women to vote. OK, so they got the women's vote thing right, the law of averages I guess. They also brought us the Interstate Commerce Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and my personal favorite, the Federal Reserve.
FDR was a Progressive, so were his social policies, I guess it really is no wonder that Our Dear Leader is doing the exact same things, only on a bigger and grander scale. One of their key points was, and apparently is, government regulation of business practices to, in their minds, ensure competition and free enterprise. Who does that sound like?
This is our moment. This is our time," Obama said to overwhelming applause during a 25-minute stump speech in front of more than 17,000 supporters in the arena and another 2,000 in the Kohl Center's Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion. "And where better to affirm our ideals than here in Wisconsin, where a century ago the Progressive movement was born?
So he is one too. Things are starting to make sense. From the encyclopedia (not wiki pidia) we find this.
The United States assumed a new guise. An exchange of ideas began on a new scale, particularly in the ideas of the Progressive movement, which advocated a wide range of reforms to combat the growing social evils caused by industrialism
There you go, they do have a problem with business. It's evil. The breakup of Standard Oil was one of their first goals. I bet that is where the evil Big Oil term came from.
Wow, it seems our whole education system in based on the Progressive Movement, no wonder everyone is getting brainwashed. No Child Left Behind, Bush was a Progressive too.
Jimmy Carter was probably to most aggressive Progressive President since FDR, well, until our current Dear Leader. Carter messed the country up pretty darn good with his progressive ideas.
I think it is time for the Progressives of both parties to simply form their own Progressive Party. That way, when we vote, maybe we will know what the heck we are going to get. Instead of the surprise we always seem to have once they get into office.
I suggest everyone look into this movement and it's history. You might just find they follow the Communist Goals as stated back in 1933. For a refresher, go back to my earlier post, on the Communist Within.
Everything will start making sense.
And if you are like me, you'll want to stick a pencil in your eye.
