CENSORSHIP - THE NEW AMERICA

You might not see it, but censorship is about to become a way of American life. It has been apparent for a while, that pesky Constitution of ours keeps getting in the way of various political agenda's. Changing the Constitution would be hard even for the most brazen politician, but they have found ways to regulate around it. Thereby circumventing it, all the while pointing to it as our beckon of salvation.

Let's see what they are up to, shall we? But first you should go back to The Communist Within and read the 45 goals again. Yes, seems that all my articles all tie together, you just have to connect the dots. And it would seem they all go back to the Communist Goals as stated in 1963.

There are a handful of Radio personalities that for some reason really drive the hard left Democrats crazy. I can't for the life of me figure out why. Except that they have a vastly different point of view, and are very popular with the masses. It might surprise you to learn that the majority of the radio station owners, are largely left leaning liberal Democrats. But they are also in business to make money, and conservative talk radio seems to be where the money is at.

But let's not let that interfere with what Congress has in mind. Originally they were for bringing back what was called “the Fairness Doctrine”. Sounds nice enough. In a nutshell it means for every hour of conservative talk, you need an hour of liberal talk to balance it out. Problem is, it is unconstitutional, and therefor Congress has shied away from that approach. So they have found a couple of back doors in. Because we the people should not be polluted with idea's that conflict with our dear leaders idea's.

Enter two new terms, or, a stealth Fairness Doctrine.

Localism and ownership diversity. Sounds harmless enough, doesn't it.

Localism is where the Democrats set up committees, probably made up mostly from ACORN, who decide whether a radio station has enough programming to reflect the local community. There goes Rush and Hannity. I'm willing to bet there isn't a community anywhere that ACORN thinks they should be allowed on the airwaves.

Ownership Diversity is basically a way to break up the radio conglomerates. Can't syndicate a show if the government takes away your stations. Last year I would have though this idea crazy, but since then the government has been taking a lot of things away from their rightful owners.

Both of these are very real and one of them, whichever they think would be the easiest to get away with, will be in effect before the end of the year. When they make up benign sounding names for their mischief, most folks don't even realize what they are really talking about. So, unless the people get upset enough, conservative talk radio's days are numbered.

Which brings me to the next little gem. The Internet.

One thing that seems very clear, the liberal left hates the idea of the free spread of information and ideas. Especially if it isn't their ideas, or the information they want you to have. Kind of sounds like we are moving toward a dictatorship, doesn't it.

Enter Jay Rockefeller. According to him, the Internet represents a serious threat to our National security, and should not have been invented in the first place. Silly you think, well he has a bill that right now is sneaking it's way through the soiled halls of Congress. In this bill, Internet access for you and me can be limited, restricted, and if the government decides to, they can pull the plug on it entirely.

Neither of these little gems is making much news. I wonder why? Regardless, you can find all the information you need to make your head explode on the Internet about both of these subjects. That is, unless you wait too long and they turn it off, and you switch on your radio to find out what happened, and find every channel has nonstop Nancy Pelosi speeches on diversity.

Isn't it comforting to know our government is hard at work trying to protect you from yourself?
