Government Media Strikes Again

Last week it was ABC's Obamacare infomercial. Government run media at it's lowest. It was bad enough that no opposing points of view were allowed. Even worse that ABC denied commercial time to any opposing points of view.

But that is to be expected in our new version of America.

Which brings me to this week.

I have always had a lot of respect for John Stossel. He might just be one of the last true journalists out there. He also works for ABC. And while that has not stopped him, it has stopped his work from reaching the public.

Since the crux of Obamacare is based on the Canadian health care system, Mr Stossel decided to take a good hard look at our friends to the North, and how well their system works. His special was called Canadian Health Care: The End of Innovation?

I was looking forward to seeing this program. Stossel does an excellent job of getting to the facts, and leaving out the fantasy. The fantasy in this case would be the White House claims of how wonderful this plan will be for us, the citizens of the USA.

Yes, I was looking forward to it, only to be sadly disappointed. Instead of Stossel's report, there was yet another pointless hour of Michael Jackson insanity. Once again, non news takes precedence over substance. And again, anything critical of any of Our Dear Leaders plans seems to hit the cutting room floor, so to speak.

It has nearly been a week since Mr Jackson passed. And finally, there is starting to be some reporting on other topics besides his tragic life, the fate of his kids, or whoever s kids they are.

Still, no news on the fate of the Iranian people being murdered by the Regime. No real news on the North Korea ship our NAVY has been following, or their threats to launch missiles this weekend at HI.

Really no news about the Cap and Trade tax the House passed last Friday, after being rammed through by Nancy Pelosi. Along with the 300 page add on that was snuck in at 3 AM Friday. No, no real news about that at all.

I guess you could count Our Dear Leaders endless town hall meetings pushing his socialist health cars agenda. But since all the questions are preselected, it looks like more infomercial.

I think Mr Stossel's program focused on the cold hard facts that the Canadian system does not work very well. People are denied medicine and life saving procedures. Making an appointment may take 6 months or more. Folks die while waiting. Folks die after being denied care by the government.

But again, do not let the facts get in the way of an agenda.

Nor let a program that takes a valid and critical look at your plan make it to the airwaves.
